FEEL GREAT THIS SUMMER

Now that the sunshine and warmer weather have finally arrived and we have a chance to top up on our Vitamin D its time to feel great about ourselves. We know that fresh air and a small amount of sun can make our skin look great but after months of being covered up, with a few easy steps we can get it looking wonderful.

We took some time to look into how to get that feel good feeling!  Here is what we found.

A recent survey revealed that the happier women are with their body, the happier they are in general and vice versa.

Cultivating a body positive attitude can create a sense of ease and immediately help you feel good about yourself. Avoid subscribing to the ‘body perfect’ image we are often exposed to in our media streams.   Think looking good feeling good!

According to the Mental Health Foundation, in a survey carried out in 2019, one in five adults (20%) felt shame, just over one third (34%) felt down or low, and 19% felt disgusted because of their body. Just over one third of adults said they had ever felt anxious (34%) or depressed (35%) because of their body image and just over one in five adults (21%) said images used in advertising and social media had caused them to worry about their body image.

We have some simple steps you can practices to help manage any negative feelings you may be experiencing.
